Bright House Stays

We offer 2 very comfortable houses which are situated on The Track, which are within easy walking distance to the Bright township, walking along the Murray to Mountain Rail Trail. Whistler is 800 meters from the Clock Tower in town and Montebello is 700 meters from the Clock Tower, in town.

They are SMOKE FREE and PET FREE houses.

Both Whistler and Montebello are situated close to the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. You may use this to walk, trek or cycle and take in the natural bushland, farmland or mountains. Most mornings a mob of Kangaroos frequent and graze near the houses.

The properties are within a 5-10 minute walk to town along the flat Rail Trail. There are many fine gift shops, restaurants, a local Brewery that provides lunch and live music most Sundays. There are many attractions in Bright and the surrounding areas, year round. Both houses have a full kitchen, some pantry items and BBQs with outdoor dining settings or relaxing. A Bond form will need to be signed and returned before your stay. This is precautionary, no money is taken up front.

Montebello is a brick ranch style house, situated at 5 The Track, Bright, Vic, 3741. 7 Beds; 2 Bathrooms; Lock up garage for off street parking. The house Bedroom configuration is master bedroom: Q/S bed, with an ensuite. Bedroom 2: Double bed with a single bunk above (called a Trilogy bed). Bedroom 3: 1 x Q/S bed. Bedroom 4: 1 x single bunk and 1x single bed. 2nd toilet.

Whistler is a double storey cedar house with a large deck, with a BBQ and outdoor setting and a great view overlooking the Ovens Valley. 9 Beds which includes a pull out couch (with a proper mattress) in the Dorma upstairs. 2 bathrooms, a lockup garage and a carport provides plenty of undercover parking. House bedroom configuration: Master bedroom: Q/S bed with an ensuite. Bedroom 2: a Double bed with a single bunk above (a Trilogy bed). Bedroom 3: 1x Q/S bed. Bedroom 4: 1x single bunk and 2x single beds.

Bright is situated in the beautiful Ovens Valley and is known as a part of the gourmet region of the High Country of Victoria. It is also the premier cycling area in Victoria for families, keen amateurs and professionals alike. There is much to do and enjoy in Bright and the surrounding areas of Mt Buffalo, Porepunkah, Wandiligong and Harrietville.

While both houses are available for year round vacations, there is no availability for guests to depart on either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day and new guests to arrive on these days.
